Change is Good

I am amazed at how much my son has changed my life. I was 22 and loved to party and had no money in savings. The most of my worries was that my straightener wasn't working or that I couldn't find my other flip flop.

March 22nd 2009 my life changed forever. That was the day I found out I was pregnant! I would have never thought in a million years that I would be where I am today. He has made my life a million times better and gave me no choice but to "Grow Up".

Now I have someone counting on my every minute of each day. I have someone to work for and have a reason to do nothing but make life better for.

All my thanks to my beautiful and amazing son Austin!

Full Plate

Getting to experience being a first time mommy has made me appreciate EVERYTHING my mother did for me and continues to do.

Trying to manage my time between work, family, house keeping, and all the small things here and there and the lack of sleep has been a huge load on my back. I am just now getting to where I have found myself on some type of schedule. Now I am trying to find where I can fit going to the gym so I can get my pre-baby body back.

I am not only a new mommy but a new wife to my wonderful husband who serves in the US Navy. Growing up in a military family I am very familiar with the processes that go on. My first three years together with my husband he was on Shore Duty so come this summer I will also experience being away from him as he will be switching over to Sea Duty. Even though I missed my father very much when he left it is a very different experience/feeling. I know that I can do it; the only thought that really keeps eating at my stomach is helping Austin deal with his daddy not being here.

Easy & Yummy Pork Chop Recipe!

When it was just my husband and I, I had all the free time and money to explore with new recipes no matter what it called for or how long it took. Now that I am a new mommy and time and money have become and issue I have had to manage a little better. I found this awesome recipe that is very simple, easy and fast. I served it with green beans and a wild rice. I started cooking the green beans and rice before I started on the main dish.

The only thing I added was before I browned the pork chops I sprinkled both sides with salt/pepper/and cajun seasoning.

My husbands comments on this was that it was simply delicious! and that it was one of the best meals we have had since my son was born (3 months ago!) This will def. be cooked more often. I hope you enjoy and if you try and and make your own changes...please let me know how it turns out because I may want to try it too!
